Our routine podiatry (formerly chiropody) assessment and treatment is suitable for all; young and old.
-
Corns, callus, dry, hard and cracked skin on all areas of the foot.
-
Painful, thick, yellow, in-growing and fungal infected toenails.
-
Foot infections such as athletes foot, fungal infections verrucae and warts.
Sharp pain between your arch and heel, feels worse when you start walking and better when resting, sometimes includes difficulty raising toes off floor.
The underlying-cause can be a number of different pathologies but treatment is more or less the same with slight bespoke alterations due to individual differences and anatomy that's injured.
Nail Surgery
One very common condition that affects young and old is an ingrowing toenail. The infection and pain is something that is hard to ignore.
A local anaesthetic will be injected into both sides of the base of the affected toe to make the procedure painless.
Nail surgery with phenolisation of the nail bed is the “Gold Standard”, permanent solution for painful, recurrent ingrowing toenails.
